Located near Lake Merritt in the heart of the business district, the Oakland conference center was conceived as an opportunity to ensure equitable access to meeting space in a rapidly changing neighborhood. It welcomes leaders, policymakers, residents, and youth to discuss debate, and come together.

    Take Highway I-580 W to Oakland.

    Merge onto I-980 W towards Downtown Oakland.

    Take the 18th/14th Street exit.

    Turn left on 17th Street. Follow 17th Street to Franklin Street.

Located in the heart of East Oakland, Brookfield Village Elementary School is a treasured 81-year-old OUSD school site. Recently, Brookfield experienced programmatic transformations and structural upgrades. This includes the newly constructed soccer field in 2024 curated by the OUSD Office of Expanded Learning made possibly be CDE ELOP grants and the integration of OUSD’s first Montessori program model. Brookfield Village Elementary School is currently Expanded Learning Office’s homebase and generously houses many Expanded Learning YES! Sports events and district-wide professional development convenings.
