Expanded Learning Coordinator

Martha Pena has 20 years of experience supporting quality expanded learning programming in the Bay Area and at the state level. In her current tenure with OUSD as the Expanded Learning Coordinator at Oakland Unified School District, she leads her team in efforts to design and implement a multi-layered strategic vision for expanded learning programming across the district. Martha oversees and directs over 80 TK-12 OUSD school sites, 12 expanded learning providers, and multiple partners who support expanded learning programming for over 17K students daily.

Currently, she manages several multi-million dollar budgets derived from various state and federal funding sources. Martha directs the execution of a values-driven continuous quality improvement eco-system that supports positive outcomes for OUSD youth. Martha is a lifelong champion and advocate for youth!
