Laila Jenkins-Perez is governed by her personal and professional values of dignity, justice, liberation, and joy for herself and all others. Her skills include capacity building, change management, and facilitating strategic design. She has 20+ years of experience in the Bay Area as a youth development practitioner, collaborative leader, and performing artist. Currently, Ms. Jenkins-Perez is an expanded learning district administrator with OUSD.

In this capacity, her role entails operations/compliance management, systems assessment/development, data-driven program design, and leadership coaching. To further her reach into education policymaking and since 2018 Laila served at the pleasure of the state of California on the governing board for California Afterschool Network (CAN), chairing the strategy committee. Laila's mission is to amplify the value, visibility & voice of youth and expanded learning.
